Tenth virtual gathering will take place on 7th. of September at 12:00 PM US Central time zone. Dr. Dida Kimor is going to host and the focus will be on “Existential Philosophical Ideas in Frankl’s Logotherapy “
Logochats will be held the first Saturday every other month. Times may vary in order to allow individuals to join from different time zones. In order to attend, you must create an account and register for the “Logochat.” That will allow you to receive a zoom invite. Logochats are free and open to all interested individuals.
In order to deepen our understanding of Frankl’s view in terms of his Philosophy of Life and Concept of Man, it is important to decipher the influences of these philosophical ideas, such as Existentialism. Thus, the aim of this presentation is to shed light on the ideas that were in the air when Frankl’s ideas were developed, and at the same time to emphasize his unique innovative approach.
Dr. Dida Kimor is a PhD in Philosophy (Haifa University), a Logotherapist (Diplomate in Clinical Logotherapy, Dallas), and a Dance-therapist (Haifa University). Also holder of two M.A degrees (Both Cum Laude), in Comparative Religion and Philosophy, with a background in Philosophical Counseling.
Her main areas of research are Logo-Philosophy and the Noetic Dimension, Research of consciousness, Existentialism, Spirituality, and Spiritual Development. She is an invited lecturer at the University of Haifa, and has been teaching in the various programs of Logotherapy in Israel (English and Hebrew) since their beginning. She acts as a counselor and is one of the founders and an active board member of the Israeli Association for Logotherapy. Dida has presented works in academic conferences both in Israel and at the World Congresses.
Lately she has served as the scientific editor of the new Hebrew translation of Man’s Search for Meaning.
